  1. Just a couple of comments.

    1. There’s is no defense stat. Melee is resolved via knife value to knife value.

    2. Range is measured by unit leader to unit leader.

    Other than that, great episode.

  2. Hey Troy,

What is your email address for the show? I had some things that I wanted to mention to you but I can’t find the address in the podcast.

    Thanks!

  7. Great episode, thoroughly enjoable. All this AT-43 stuff is making me want to get into the game, too bad theres like 2 places in australia that sells AT-43…

  8. Nice to have the show back. Looks like this one had some major barriers to finish and a pretty good recovery under the circumstances.

The AT-43 overview was pretty helpful, especially the summary of the armies. I knew little about the Karmans beforehand so the summary was helpful getting an idea of their play style. I am more familiar with the other three races but these types of podcasts give a different perspective than what you can get from a dry reading of the army books.

I had two questions which may have been covered in the episode and slipped my mind:

    1) Based on the games you have played, what is the point amount for a typical game? The unit points for AT-43 seem a lot higher than what you usually see in 40K so I assume the point value for an AT-43 equivalent to a 1500 point 40K game is higher.

    2) Can you recommend any good forums that get into tactics and army lists?

    Keep up the good work.

  9. The games I have played have been between 1500 and 2000 points. I find 2000 to be a good pointage but most tournaments I have seen run at 1500. I think this will change with the release of the size 5 vehicles as they are all in the 700+ point range.

A good forum is the at-43 forum run by rackam, you can find it at

    http://en-forum.at-43.com/

thanks for the kind words :)

  10. First off I love the show keep up the good work. Gatta say Troy think I hate you after the new show… lol went out and bought the AT-43 rule book the Karman’s army book 4 unit boxes and 2 heroes not to mention some attachment boxes too lol. Keep up the good work and can’t wait for the next show.

  13. Good job … well done. Very informative about AT-43. I went and got a starter set + extras at my FLGS. -but- You need to work on your sound mixing, (bad ambient sound effects = there is way to much clicking and beeping in the back ground, screen doors opening, misc. lip smacking, mouse clicking, and the very noticeable low mic. vs. high mic. disparities). At some points it was painfully loud … at other times I could not even hear your guest from across the pond. All in all kudos for the AT-43 content, keep up the hobby game work & research, and thanks for all you do. PS. Please report more on AT-43 … soon.
